Testing drop protection is more than just height. We evaluate corner impact (where screens usually crack) and face-down impact.
The Otterbox Defender remains the champion purely for physics reasons: the multi-layer design absorbs shock before it reaches the glass. However, for 2025, the Casetify Impact impressed us most with its 'EcoShock' material which provided similar protection to bulky cases while maintaining a slim profile. If you want style and safety, Casetify is the balanced choice. If you work in construction, stick with Otterbox.
