Technical Summary ALTEC IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 1994-1997 SERVICE VEHICLES BUILT FROM SEPTEMBER 1994 THROUGH MARCH 1997, AND EQUIPPED WITH AERIAL DEVICES WITH BOOM LIFT CYLINDER PART NUMBER 350-40094. THE HYDRAULIC CYLINDER AS MANUFACTURED COULD FAIL WHEN SUBJECT TO FREQUENT TENSILE LOADING.

Technical Summary Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 1995-1996 AM and AN aerial devices. Please see the recall report for a complete list of models. The hydraulic cylinder head gland may have been improperly manufactured, which can result in it detaching from the barrel of the cylinder while under load, leaving the lower boom unsupported.
