An explosion of an inflator within the driver frontal air bag module may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver, front seat passenger or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.

Technical Summary Honda and Nissan are recalling vehicles manufactured with Takata Corporation (Takata) PSDI-5D driver air bag inflators. Due to a manufacturing error, the air bag inflator may not function properly or the inflator may explode in the event of a crash that necessitates driver air bag deployment.
